5 years in Beaufort

p>Its been 5 years since i moved to beaufort NC from Virginia Beach.  When you say to your self “where will i be in 5 years” its always good to take time to realign your goals and reflect on all you have done in the past 5 years and what you plan to do in the next five years.

When we moved here in 2008, we weren’t sure what we were getting into! Growing up in a   small town, the “small town” part didn’t bother me. However coming from Virginia Beach, a place where we had friends, jobs and knew the area well, we had tons to do beach, shopping, parks…etc. The place we moved to we didn’t have most of that but it that wasn’t a bad thing. We quickly got accustomed to the new life and started to plant our roots. We did that by getting engaged, buying a house, and the biggest best thing having our son Mason. So in five years while living in this tiny coastal town ive gone through some of the biggest changes of my live, ive had the best time here with my family. 

Ive got more to talk about when it comes to Beaufort but ill do another post about that one!!

Love starts at home…

Such a long week, full of 17 hour days and no rest. Stoked to have my wife home with us on a Friday night now that shes not working nights anymore.

Just hope shes going to be into my Friday night “TV Party” B movie selections haha…

What’s good in the hood?

Sister to NC and Shark Week!!!

Only time of the year i wish i had cable TV. Oh well at least i can watch reruns on Netflix. Everything is good on the home front. Lindsey’s been doing great in her ETSY shop getting backed up with tons of orders. Mason is getting really good with sentences and past and present tense. So proud of him.

Great news my sister and her family have sold their house in MD and have put a contract on one in Wilmington NC. They should be down here in the fall!! I am so excited to have them so close 1-2 hours opposed to 7-8 hours. Soo happy for them and hope their transition is smooth. Its been around 12 years since I have lived in the same state as my family, very crazy never thought id be gone that long! Going to be nice for Mason to grow up near his Niece and Nephew!!

Friday Night Fright

As always on a friday when my wifes at work and masons tucked in to bed, I scan Netflix for B horror flicks or other 80s random goodies. Tonight’s going to be a good one based on the cover of Surf Nazis, I mean a chainsaw fin on a surfboard com’on no brainer.

Summer Daze

 

Summer is hot. Been coming down after masons big weekend birthday celebration. Thanks to everyone that took time to tell him Happy Birthday or to come to the party it was great we are so grateful to have such good family/friends.

Haven’t been able to do anything with moped this summer which has bummed me out. Need to get so many lil parts, just don’t have the money right now i guess. Been working on bikes non stop though, finished masons and also finished the trike!! oh yea! Now i got to work out some kinks and shine it up so i can sell it. I’ll put a post for it next so stay tuned. Thanks again…
